    But after renaming the file with .mp3 extension , one more . (Dot) Is added after mp3 and hence name appear as xyz.mp3. So it's not working

      the extension will not contain any dot or symbols. After giving extension dont put anything after it

      Sir dot comes automatically after mp3 extension.So the file is not recognised byou any player..

      Use ES file Explorer to rename the file..
